Senior Security Researcher – Phishing

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Data Collection: Identify, target, and retrieve information from Phishing-as-a-Service (PhaaS) kits through a mix of human intelligence and platform sourcing.

• Data Analysis: Utilize data science methodologies to assess the quality of obtained data, aiming to enhance and optimize the PhaaS data sourcing pipeline.

• Human Intelligence: Implement human intelligence strategies such as managing various alternate personas, engaging with actors, and employing social engineering techniques to support data retrieval initiatives.

• Security Analysis: Contribute to the development of research blogs and analytical outputs that align with customer and business goals.

• Security Research: Engage in security research activities, including the examination of threat actors, PhaaS, and other vital research that supports SpyCloud’s objectives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in a role related to cybersecurity research, analysis, or a similar field.

• Proficient understanding of contemporary PhaaS kits and methodologies, including AiTM and Device Code phishing.

• Familiarity with the criminal underground and methods to access data traded on the deep and dark web.

• Experience employing human intelligence strategies, including elicitation, persona management, and direct interactions with threat actors.

• A critical thinker comfortable with collaborative problem-solving within a team setting.

• Strong communication abilities.

• Highly inquisitive, empathetic, adaptable, and self-motivated.

• Experience in a remote working environment alongside global team members.

• A strong desire to combat malicious actors in the cyber criminal landscape.
