Senior Security Engineer – SecOps

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Identify and address security incidents on a global scale.

• Serve as an incident commander to guide incidents through the complete response lifecycle.

• Develop and sustain security alerts, automated actions, playbooks, and escalation workflows to support a high-performing 24/7 incident response team.

• Engage in threat hunting activities and anticipate emerging threats.

• Maintain proactive strategies for tools, technology, and processes to counter sophisticated threat actors.

• Analyze threat intelligence reports and manage the workflows that arise from them.

• Collaborate with key stakeholders throughout preparation, identification, analysis, containment, and post-mortem processes.

• Take part in an on-call rotation.


⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of proven experience managing security incidents on a global scale and/or working in Security Operations Centers (SOC), Product Security Incident Response Teams (PSIRT), and Computer Security Incident Response Teams (CSIRT).

• Proficiency in security information and event management (SIEM) systems, such as ELK, Google BigQuery, and Splunk; preference for Splunk expertise.

• Expertise in endpoint detection and investigation.

• Practical experience with leading EDR tools and the ability to utilize endpoint telemetry for root cause analysis.

• Knowledge of security orchestration and automation (SOAR) platforms like Tines or Splunk SOAR.

• Excellent communication and leadership skills; able to effectively collaborate with a diverse range of company stakeholders.

• Hands-on experience in software development and/or engineering operations for consumer products and services.

• Familiarity with cloud technologies such as Google Cloud Platform, Amazon Web Services, Heroku, and Microsoft Azure.
