Senior Security Engineer – SecOps

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Netherlands.

📋 Description

• Detect and address security incidents on a worldwide scale.

• Serve as the incident commander throughout the complete response lifecycle.

• Develop and uphold security alerts, automated actions, playbooks, and escalation workflows to ensure a robust 24/7 incident response capability.

• Engage in proactive threat hunting activities and predict potential future threats.

• Maintain innovative strategies for tools, technology, and processes that tackle advanced threat actors.

• Analyze threat intelligence reports and manage the resulting workflows effectively.

• Collaborate with key stakeholders across preparation, identification, analysis, containment, and post-mortem activities.

• Participate in an on-call rotation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of proven experience in managing security incidents on a global scale and/or experience in Security Operations Centers (SOC), Product Security Incident Response Teams (PSIRT), and Computer Security Incident Response Teams (CSIRT).

• Proficiency with security information and event management (SIEM) systems, including ELK, Google BigQuery, and Splunk; Splunk expertise is preferred.

• Specialized knowledge in endpoint detection and investigation.

• Practical experience with leading EDR tools and the ability to utilize endpoint telemetry to identify root causes.

• Expertise in security orchestration and automation (SOAR) platforms such as Tines or Splunk SOAR.

• Excellent communication and leadership skills; capability to collaborate effectively with diverse company stakeholders.

• Hands-on experience in software development and/or engineering operations for consumer products and services.

• Practical experience with cloud technologies such as Google Cloud Platform, Amazon Web Services, Heroku, and Microsoft Azure.
