Senior Security Engineer – SecOps

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Finland.

📋 Description

• Identify and address security incidents on a worldwide scale.

• Serve as an incident commander to guide incidents throughout the complete response lifecycle.

• Develop and sustain security alerts, automated responses, playbooks, and escalation workflows to support a 24/7 incident response capability.

• Execute threat hunting initiatives and foresee potential threats.

• Uphold innovative strategies for tools, technologies, and processes to counter sophisticated threat actors.

• Analyze threat intelligence reports and manage the corresponding workflows.

• Collaborate with stakeholders and communicate proficiently throughout preparation, identification, analysis, containment, and post-mortem processes.

• Engage in an on-call rotation.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of proven experience in managing security incidents at a global scale and/or experience in Security Operations Centers (SOC), Product Security Incident Response Teams (PSIRT), and Computer Security Incident Response Teams (CSIRT).

• Proficiency in security information and event management (SIEM) systems, including ELK, Google BigQuery, and Splunk; preference given to candidates with Splunk expertise.

• Skilled in endpoint detection and investigation.

• Practical experience leading EDR tools and utilizing endpoint telemetry to uncover root causes.

• Knowledgeable in security orchestration and automation (SOAR) platforms, such as Tines or Splunk SOAR.

• Excellent communication and leadership skills; capable of effectively partnering with a diverse range of company stakeholders.

• Real-world experience in software development and/or engineering operations for consumer products and services.

• Hands-on experience with cloud technologies like Google Cloud Platform, Amazon Web Services, Heroku, and Microsoft Azure.

• A B.S. in a technology-related field is advantageous.
