Senior Security Engineer – Product Security

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Oversee Product Security and Cloud Security projects from conception to execution.

• Shape architectural and product choices, ensuring security is integrated from development to deployment.

• Safeguard applications, APIs, and AWS environments while maintaining a balance between security, performance, and availability.

• Actively identify and address risks, focusing on automation and scalability.

• Serve as a technical expert for engineering teams, advocating for best practices and minimizing friction in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

• Continuously enhance the security framework for cloud services, applications, and generative AI.

• Establish and implement protection strategies for applications and APIs utilizing WAF/WAAP (preferably Azion).

• Spearhead API security initiatives, addressing risks outlined in the OWASP API Security Top 10.

• Enhance AWS security posture using CSPM/CNAPP (Wiz or similar), Security Hub, GuardDuty, Inspector, and other native tools.

• Create automations for vulnerability remediation and security workflows.

• Embed security into the SDLC through threat modeling, security assessments, and Application Security (AppSec) practices.

• Establish controls for the responsible use of AI in engineering and products.

• Assist with incident response, technical documentation, and risk management indicators.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in Product Security, Cloud Security, or Application Security.

• In-depth understanding of AWS and its key security services (Security Hub, GuardDuty, Inspector, Config, Detective).

• Familiarity with CSPM/CNAPP, preferably Wiz.

• Practical experience with WAF/WAAP and API security (OWASP API Security Top 10).

• Strong foundation in AppSec, SDLC, threat modeling, and tools for SAST, DAST, and SCA.

• Experience with GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, and automation using Python or a comparable programming language.
