This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.
• Develop and implement Voyager's cybersecurity strategy, roadmap, governance framework, and operational rhythms.
• Lead enterprise security initiatives that safeguard corporate systems, engineering environments, cloud services, collaboration tools, and regulated data.
• Convert business, program, and governmental requirements into actionable cybersecurity priorities, policies, controls, and investments.
• Provide updates on security posture, risks, incidents, remediation efforts, and strategic needs to the CIO and senior leadership.
• Oversee security monitoring, alert triage, incident response, forensic coordination, vulnerability management, threat intelligence, and remediation tracking.
• Develop incident-response playbooks, conduct tabletop exercises, establish escalation paths, and set communication protocols for security incidents.
• Manage SIEM, EDR, email protection, vulnerability scanning, identity protection, logging, and related security tools.
• Collaborate with IT operations and networking teams to minimize attack surfaces, enhance endpoint hygiene, and boost detection and response capabilities.
• Act as a security architecture leader for application, cloud, identity, network, endpoint, and collaboration projects.
• Guide secure design strategies for Microsoft 365, GCC High or government-cloud environments, identity platforms, endpoint management, and network segmentation.
• Conduct risk assessments, control design, exception management, and remediation prioritization across enterprise systems.
• Assess emerging technologies and security products that enhance Voyager's resilience, visibility, and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with compliance, legal, contracts, and program teams to address CMMC, NIST SP 800-171, DFARS, ITAR/EAR, CUI, NASA, and DoD security obligations.
• Ensure security controls and documentation are in place to support audit readiness, government reviews, prime contractor evaluations, and proposal requirements.
• Facilitate secure handling of controlled unclassified information, export-controlled technical data, and classified program requirements, as needed.
• Align cybersecurity requirements with facility security, program security, and enterprise risk stakeholders.
• Build, lead, and cultivate cybersecurity talent, including internal staff, external partners, and managed security service providers.
• Manage security vendors, contracts, budgets, licensing, and technology performance.
• Communicate effectively with technical teams and executive audiences, especially in sensitive or time-critical situations.
• Foster a security culture that is practical, mission-aware, and focused on enabling Voyager teams to operate swiftly and securely.
• An active TS/SCI US government security clearance is necessary upon hire, with the ability to maintain clearance eligibility.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Over 10 years of progressive experience in cybersecurity, information security, or IT risk, including over 5 years in leadership roles overseeing security teams, programs, or significant security initiatives.
• Proven experience managing security operations, incident response, vulnerability management, identity and access management, endpoint security, network security, and cloud security projects.
• Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing information security architectures, policies, procedures, roadmaps, and enterprise controls.
• Familiarity with regulated environments, including government contracting, aerospace, defense, space, or mission-critical technology sectors.
• Working knowledge of NIST SP 800-171, CMMC, NIST 800-53, DFARS, ITAR/EAR, CUI, as well as risk management, audit readiness, and control evidence.
• Strong leadership, communication, decision-making, budget management, and executive stakeholder management abilities.
• U.S. Person status is required for ITAR/export-control eligibility.
