Senior Security Engineer, Infrastructure

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +18 more states.

📋 Description

• Identify critical business risks that exist within Instacart’s products and infrastructure.

• Assess these risks and establish remediation strategies along with actionable roadmaps.

• Create scalable systems that promote and facilitate secure engineering practices.

• Lead and implement systemic enhancements across engineering and other departments.

• Provide coaching and mentorship to fellow engineers within the organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in Security Engineering or Offensive Security roles.

• At least 3 years of experience conducting code and design reviews.

• Proficient in at least one production programming language (Python, Go, or TypeScript) sufficient for developing internal tools.

• Practical experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar).

• Familiarity with security bug classifications and best practice remediation strategies.

• Understanding of SaaS architectures, prevalent risks, and threat models.

• Experience with Variant Analysis, Root Cause Analysis, or Secure Frameworks.
