Managed Infrastructure Engineer III, SecOps

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Implement a comprehensive Google SecOps instance within our lab environment, concentrating on back-end development of the SIEM, while SOC operations and front-end tasks are managed by our SOC operations platform and other teams.

• Manage the lab environment while collaborating with us to integrate Google SecOps into our service offerings. This includes troubleshooting issues, providing training to team members, and developing procedures to prevent common problems.

• After the service is established, the role will evolve to offer onboarding and production services/support to our client base.

• Serve as the primary support contact and escalation point for Google SecOps engineers hired in each region, including mentoring other SIEM infrastructure engineers who will also assist Google SecOps clients.

• Identify deficiencies in processes and procedures to enhance areas of improvement.

• Collaborate with our VP to effectively distribute the Google SecOps workload among engineering resources in each region.

• Ensure the security, availability, and confidentiality of all sensitive data collected, processed, or stored in this role.

⛳️ Requirements

• Prior experience with at least one complete installation/deployment of Google SecOps in an enterprise-level environment, focusing on backend infrastructure, onboarding, and product support for Google SecOps.

• Capability to troubleshoot current issues and the ability to identify and establish processes that prevent future problems in Google SecOps.

• A blend of creative and business acumen that will assist in defining, structuring, and launching this service offering.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for team collaboration during the build process, customer engagement in the support process, and documentation of policies and procedures for other engineering/admin staff.

• Over 2 years of experience with SIEM technologies and a background in network security.

• Previous experience in a customer-facing role is preferred.

• Experience in developing a service offering is highly preferred.
