Senior Infrastructure Developer, Optimization Software

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Create, develop, and sustain the foundational infrastructure that supports optimization engines and planning workflows.

• Enhance the scalability, reliability, and performance of distributed optimization tasks.

• Develop reusable infrastructure components for model execution, data management, and solver integration.

• Examine performance bottlenecks within optimization pipelines and the systems that underpin them.

• Optimize computing resources, memory utilization, and data flow for extensive planning challenges.

• Assist in solver integration and fine-tuning (e.g., various optimization methods).

• Play a role in the advancement of platform architecture and hardware.

• Design systems that accommodate large datasets, parallel processing, and incremental solving.

• Ensure that systems adhere to enterprise-level standards for reliability and maintainability.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Over 5 years of experience with various cloud resources and deployments.

• Experience with public cloud platforms (Azure and/or GCP; AWS is an added advantage), including usage of consoles and APIs.

• Practical experience managing Kubernetes (AKS and/or GKE).

• Familiarity with CI/CD and/or GitOps processes (pipelines, GitHub Actions).

• Experience with Docker technology.

• Comfortable with logging and observability platforms.

• Capable of designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts for performance testing using various testing frameworks and tools.

• Able to identify opportunities to expedite the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) through innovative applications of AI or other tools, while maintaining architectural consistency, secure design, and high code quality standards.

• Proficient in rigorously reviewing AI-generated code for correctness, architectural compatibility, integration risks, and support for edge cases, with a growth-oriented mindset and a propensity for experimentation.

• Experience with commercial solvers (Gurobi, CPLEX, etc.) is a plus.

• Knowledge of Supply Chain Management concepts (Demand Planning, MRP, S&OP, Capacity Planning) is desirable.
