Senior Security Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Integrate security scanning into current CI/CD workflows.

• Design, implement, and oversee security measures to safeguard sensitive company information.

• Collaborate with department leaders to establish secure and compliant workflows.

• Utilize Vulnerability Management to assist system owners in addressing identified vulnerabilities.

• Oversee and sustain our vulnerability management solutions.

• Develop and maintain detection and response systems such as a SIEM.

• Conduct risk assessments and determine necessary security controls.

• Create and uphold security policies.

• Provide security guidance to development teams.

• Assess business requirements, conduct research, and propose solutions.

• Occasionally work outside regular hours.

• Collaborate with MDR Services to address incidents and document them.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Information Security, or a related field.

• Over 5 years of experience in a security-focused role, with at least 2 years in a SaaS environment.

• Minimum of 2 years in systems administration.

• At least 2 years of experience working with Amazon Web Services in production settings.

• Familiarity with NIST CSF, NIST 800-53, and ISO27001 frameworks.

• Basic knowledge of PCI-DSS.

• Strong understanding of OWASP.

• Experience in a SOC2 environment.

• Good grasp of security benchmarking, including CIS Standards.

• Proficiency in at least one scripting language such as Bash, Python, Perl, GO, or Ruby.

• Experience with security monitoring tools including SIEM, Vulnerability Management, and IDS.

• Familiarity with prevention systems such as IPS, EDR, WAF, and Next-gen Firewalls.
