Senior Security Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Provide a dependable, secure, and compliant infrastructure that facilitates fast and safe product development.

• Implement a robust security posture integrated within all Cloud and DevOps workflows.

• Establish clear processes, documentation, and governance to confidently support regulatory audits.

• Play an essential role in safeguarding our digital assets through the deployment, management, and enhancement of security technologies.

• Oversee vulnerability and threat programs, spearhead incident response initiatives, and possess strong technical expertise in threat detection and security operations.

• Work closely with business leaders, product teams, engineers, and other stakeholders to create mutual value.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or related disciplines.

• Over 5 years of progressive experience in Cyber Security Engineering.

• Proven experience in conducting incident response investigations and forensic analysis.

• Demonstrated history of managing security incidents from detection to resolution.

• Experience in securing AWS or Azure environments, including container orchestration (Kubernetes).

• Familiarity with security frameworks (NIST CSF, CIS Controls, ISO 27001, MITRE ATT&CK).

• Knowledge of compliance requirements (PCI DSS, HIPAA, SOX, GDPR) as applicable.

• Experience in highly regulated environments, preferably in medical devices (ISO 13485, IEC 62304) or similarly regulated sectors.

• Strong comprehension of secure software development practices and Cloud security.

• A proactive mindset toward incident response, reliability engineering, and operational excellence.

• Scripting abilities for the automation of administrative and security processes.

• Proficient with virtualization and containerization technologies.

• Understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.

• Experience in a SaaS-based product development organization or FDA-regulated medical device environment is preferred.

• Microsoft, Cloud, and Security certifications are advantageous.
