Senior Security Automation Developer

📋 Description

• Develop and uphold efficient automation systems that empower our security operations center to react to threats at machine speed.

• Provide guidance on decision implementation, secure coding standards, and enhance the maturity of the Security Automation and Enhancements team.

• Collaborate closely with Security Operations, Incident Response, Detection Engineering, Offensive Security, and essential enterprise stakeholders.

• Proactively identify stakeholder needs to optimize their time by recognizing automation opportunities before they arise.

⛳️ Requirements

• A University Degree is required.

• 3-5 years of experience in the field of Information Security.

• 3–5 years of practical experience in security automation supporting an operations team.

• 2-3+ years of involvement in security operations or incident response.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the capacity to engage with technical teams effectively.

• Ability to work autonomously, lead initiatives with oversight, and maintain composure under pressure.

• Preferred experience in building and maintaining a SOAR platform, including management of agentic response systems.

• Experience in designing or directing automation development for an enterprise security team.

• Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK and its use in security detections and categorization of security incidents.

• A strong analytical mindset capable of converting large sets of data into actionable insights.

• A keen desire to continually learn and adapt to emerging threats and technologies.

• Relevant certifications such as GCTI, GCIH, CISSP, or their equivalents are preferred.

• Knowledge of modern development and automation practices, including Agile methodologies, GitOps workflows, and scripting languages like Python to facilitate automation, tooling development, and repeatable analysis processes.
