Director, Integration & Automation Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Build and manage a high-performing Integration & Automation Engineering team that operates globally.

• Take ownership of Oura’s Business Technology Services (BTS) along with the core integration platform.

• Oversee Workato as the primary platform for enterprise integrations and automation solutions.

• Define and implement the operational framework for integrations and automation throughout the IT department.

• Establish and integrate reliability practices for critical integration services.

• Collaborate with the Security, Data, and Finance teams to ensure that integrations comply with auditing and governance standards.

• Maintain close alignment with the AI Productivity team regarding agents and MCP-based integration methodologies.

• Serve as a prominent technical leader and communicator for integration and automation initiatives within Oura.

⛳️ Requirements

• 12+ years of experience in building and managing integration platforms, iPaaS, or API services within contemporary SaaS environments.

• 5+ years of experience in leading engineering teams, including senior and staff-level individual contributors and technical program managers.

• 3+ years of experience in developing digital AI products and AI-enhanced integrations.

• Extensive technical knowledge of modern integration patterns such as event-driven architectures, REST/GraphQL, and webhooks.

• A proven history of successfully operating engineering platform teams.

• Experience in working with systems relevant to SOX regulations and ITGC controls.

• Demonstrated capability to lead engineering teams across different time zones.

• A genuine interest and hands-on experience with AI-enhanced workflows.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage stakeholder relationships effectively.
