Senior Security Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of intricate incident investigations from initiation through to containment and resolution.

• Perform root cause analyses and conduct post-incident assessments.

• Proactively search for anomalies and threats across both on-premises and cloud environments utilizing threat intelligence, analytics, and behavioral patterns.

• Monitor global threat actor activities, convert raw intelligence into actionable defense strategies, and collaborate with internal teams to enhance the security posture of OutSystems.

• Collaborate with engineering and DevSecOps teams to enhance detection capabilities, enrich SIEM use cases, and automate response workflows.

• Create, refine, and sustain incident response and threat hunting playbooks, ensuring operational excellence and uniformity.

• Identify deficiencies, propose enhancements, and contribute to the development of capabilities for detection, response, and threat modeling.

⛳️ Requirements

• 4–6+ years of experience in a SOC, MDR, or enterprise security team with a focus on hands-on Incident Response, Threat Intelligence, or Threat Hunting.

• Comprehensive knowledge of the MITRE ATT&CK Framework, Cyber Kill Chain, and adversary tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs).

• Strong understanding of SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, Sentinel, QRadar), EDR, and other detection technologies.

• Proficient in scripting or query languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell, KQL, YARA).

• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, and/or other cloud environments.

• Understanding of web technologies and protocols (such as web applications, APIs, and service-oriented architectures) along with the threats they face.

• Experience with log analysis, forensic tools, and threat intelligence platforms (e.g., MISP, ThreatConnect).

• Ability to convert technical findings into clear, actionable insights for both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a background in presenting to stakeholders or executive teams.
