This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• The Security Analyst is tasked with various components of the security program, which includes regulatory reporting, metrics/KPIs, training and awareness, security process integration, and risk management for our clients.
• Safeguards computer assets by implementing and enforcing system access controls while ensuring disaster preparedness.
• Document, uphold, and analyze compliance with IT controls, standard procedures, and policies.
• Exhibit outstanding customer service abilities, fostering credibility and rapport with client technical teams.
• Assist in conducting periodic information risk assessments and audits to guarantee that information systems are sufficiently protected to fulfill security objectives.
• Aid in gathering security-related evidence for external audits.
• Offer technical expertise during IT security incident responses.
• Address IT security inquiries from customers.
• Help evaluate vendor IT security programs and controls.
• Contribute to tracking and managing action plans for resolving issues identified during assessments and audits, providing necessary support for executing those remediation plans.
• Ensure proper access is maintained by investigating unauthorized access, revoking access, reporting violations, monitoring information requests by new programming, and recommending enhancements.
• Establish physical security by creating standards, policies, and procedures.
• Provide advice on risk levels and security posture using a risk management framework.
• Identify business processes that necessitate information security integration.
• Support the design and implementation of security exercises.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in IT audit, information security, or information risk management with customer-facing roles in the defense industry.
• Experience with policy, risk, and frameworks.
• General understanding of IT audit and assessment concepts and practices.
• Demonstrated expertise in information security principles, current industry trends, and relevant knowledge.
• Proficient in documentation enhancement and creation.
• Experience with metrics and reporting.
• Comfortable with and experienced in delivering presentations.
• Previous experience in the financial industry is preferred.
• Salary commensurate with years of experience, technical expertise, and geographic location.
• Salary range: $95,000 to $130,000.
