Senior Security Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.

📋 Description

• Take charge of intricate incident investigations from initial detection through to containment and remediation.

• Perform root cause analyses and conduct post-incident evaluations.

• Actively seek out anomalies and threats in both on-premises and cloud environments by utilizing threat intelligence, analytics, and behavioral patterns.

• Observe global threat actor activities, convert raw intelligence into actionable defense strategies, and collaborate with internal teams to strengthen the security framework of OutSystems.

• Partner with engineering and DevSecOps teams to enhance detection coverage, refine SIEM use cases, and automate response workflows.

• Create, optimize, and sustain incident response and threat hunting playbooks, ensuring operational efficiency and uniformity.

• Detect gaps, propose enhancements, and contribute to the development of capabilities for detection, response, and threat modeling.

⛳️ Requirements

• 4–6+ years of experience within a SOC, MDR, or enterprise security team focusing on incident response, threat intelligence, or threat hunting.

• Comprehensive knowledge of the MITRE ATT&CK Framework, Cyber Kill Chain, and adversary tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs).

• Strong grasp of SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, Sentinel, QRadar), EDR, and other detection technologies.

• Skilled in scripting or query languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell, KQL, YARA).

• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, and/or other cloud infrastructures.

• Knowledge of web technologies and protocols (web applications, APIs, service-oriented architectures) along with the threats they face.

• Experience in log analysis, forensic tools, and threat intelligence platforms (e.g., MISP, ThreatConnect).

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
