Senior SAP S/4 – SAP FICO, Fixed Asset SME Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Act as the leading authority for Fixed Asset Accounting (FI-AA) design, configuration, and support within the SAP S/4HANA environment.

• Take ownership of the complete asset accounting processes, starting from the chart of depreciation setup to year-end closing procedures.

• Establish the chart of depreciation, depreciation areas, asset classes, account determination, and valuation views in accordance with the client's ledger strategy.

• Develop parallel accounting and valuation frameworks across local GAAP, IFRS, and US GAAP ledgers.

• Oversee the SAP Expert Configuration Service process for new depreciation keys, including the preparation of templates and quality-system testing.

• Lead the migration of legacy asset data utilizing the SAP S/4HANA Migration Cockpit.

• Manage period-end and year-end closing for fixed assets, encompassing depreciation jobs, fiscal year transitions, and year-end closing/reset procedures by depreciation area.

• Configure and support standard Asset Accounting reporting, which includes asset balances, transactions, depreciation lists, and asset history sheets.

• Ensure that fixed assets accurately derive profit center and segment information for segment-level reporting.

• Coordinate dependencies with Controlling, Materials Management, and Investment Management.

• Provide guidance to teams on OData APIs for mass asset processing in cloud environments.

• Serve as the escalation point for account determination errors, closing errors, and configuration-lock issues.

• Ensure that productive configuration changes are tested in sandbox/development environments and are properly transported before deployment.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in SAP FI-AA configuration and support.

• Preferably, experience in at least one complete SAP S/4HANA implementation or conversion.

• Strong comprehension of parallel ledgers/parallel valuation concepts, chart of depreciation, and depreciation area design.

• Experience working with the SAP S/4HANA Migration Cockpit for legacy asset data migration.

• Familiarity with relevant Fiori applications: Manage Fixed Assets, Manage Legacy Assets, Post Asset Acquisition/Retirement/Revaluation, and Schedule Asset Accounting Jobs.

• Working knowledge of CDS views pertinent to Asset Accounting for custom reporting, including I_FixedAsset, I_DepreciationAreaForLedger, and I_AssetClass.

• Understanding of relevant OData/SOAP APIs and communication scenario SAP_COM_0563 for Fixed Asset integrations.

• Cross-module fluency in FI (G/L, AP) and CO (cost centers, internal orders) as they pertain to asset postings.

• Exposure to country-specific/localization requirements is advantageous.

• Experience with SAP Activate methodology and Best Practice scope items is a plus.

• Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition self-service configuration (SSCUI) activities for Asset Accounting is a bonus.
