This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for organizing and scheduling client technical maintenance and upgrade tasks.
• Collaborate with client technical personnel during regular meetings to assist in planning and provide improvement recommendations.
• Undertake project-based and production support duties as required to aid apiphani managed client environments, including: SAP system migrations, SAP landscape refreshes, data protection such as database backup & recovery, HA configurations, and ongoing SAP system maintenance tasks, like SAP performance management, patching, problem management, etc.
• Develop and sustain thorough documentation for problem resolution actions, root causes, procedures, and more.
• Foster continuous improvement in systems operations through cooperation with both delivery and development teams.
• Engage actively in root cause analysis alongside software development and other delivery teams.
• Contribute to development initiatives aimed at enhancing operational performance.
• Collaborate with team leaders and members to assess workflow processes and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Implement defined projects and provide updates on their progress.
• Mentor and train new team members.
• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Sciences, or relevant work experience.
• 8-10 years of pertinent hands-on SAP Basis engineering experience with a focus in one or more areas.
• Over 3 years of experience as an SAP Basis engineer within a service provider or advanced IT organization operating in a 24x7 environment.
• Strong background in administering SAP HANA databases.
• Robust experience in administering SAP Sybase databases.
• Knowledge of SAP security principles.
• Preferred experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Ansible.
• Familiarity with configuration management and automation tools.
• Understanding of agile engineering practices (Kanban, continuous delivery, etc.).
• Experience with ITSM tools, with ServiceNow preferred.
• Experience utilizing AWS and Azure services in commercial or government cloud environments.
• Development experience in a high-level language such as Python or Java is a plus.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
• Demonstrated ownership bias.
• Detail-oriented and able to meet deadlines.
