Senior Salesforce Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Oversee the creation of intricate custom applications and integrations for federal clients.

• Evaluate and re-engineer functionalities from extensive, frequently undocumented legacy codebases onto the Salesforce platform.

• Design and manage complex integrations with external, federal, and financial systems, including payment, billing, and reconciliation interfaces.

• Direct data migration from legacy systems, encompassing data mapping, transformation, and validation processes.

• Integrate the Salesforce platform with cloud services like AWS and enterprise data warehouses such as Snowflake.

• Support and manage multiple complex projects concurrently.

• Provide expert troubleshooting for technical and process-related issues across implementations.

• Comprehend and contribute to overarching architectural design decisions.

• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines while applying DevSecOps practices throughout the development lifecycle.

• Ensure solutions comply with Section 508 accessibility standards and federal security regulations such as FISMA and NIST.

• Advise on products, processes, roadmaps, and strategies for federal programs.

• Facilitate sessions on implementation best practices and coding standards.

• Actively mentor and assist junior and mid-level team members.

• Conduct knowledge sharing sessions for the team, practice, and company.

• Interview potential team members and participate in hiring decisions.

• Propel internal business development initiatives, including demonstrations and proofs of concept.

• Foster strong relationships with stakeholders and federal clients.

• Lead code reviews and offer constructive feedback to ensure quality standards are met.

• Contribute to practice documentation, accelerators, and reusable components.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• 5+ years of Salesforce development experience involving complex implementations.

• Expert-level proficiency in Apex, Lightning Web Components, JavaScript, and the Salesforce data model.

• Experience with the complete lifecycle from discovery to deployment.

• Experience in modernizing or re-engineering legacy applications and migrating their data onto Salesforce.

• Experience in creating complex integrations with external and financial or transactional systems.

• Hands-on experience integrating Salesforce with AWS services, or comparable integration experience.

• Experience integrating Salesforce with enterprise data warehouses like Snowflake.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices, including Git-based pipelines.

• Experience working within Agile and Scrum teams.

• Familiarity with federal government projects, including knowledge of compliance frameworks such as FISMA, NIST, and FedRAMP, as well as Section 508 accessibility standards (preferred).

• Strong understanding of security best practices and data governance.

• Proven ability to manage complex problems swiftly and effectively.

• Excellent communication skills with customers and executives.

• Successful track record of delivering high-quality solutions on time.

• Salesforce Certified Platform Developer II (required).

• Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I (required).

• Salesforce Certified Administrator (required).

• Salesforce Certified Public Sector Solutions Accredited Professional.

• Salesforce Certified Experience Cloud Consultant.

• AWS certification, such as AWS Certified Developer Associate or Solutions Architect Associate, preferred, or equivalent hands-on AWS experience.

• Agile or Scrum certification, such as Certified Scrum Developer, preferred, or equivalent experience.

• Domain certifications (Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and similar) preferred.
