This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Costa Rica.
• We are looking for an exceptional senior software engineer with over 5 years of experience in delivering high-quality software in a structured yet agile setting.
• A significant portion of your software engineering experience should involve direct work with Salesforce Service Cloud and/or Health Cloud development.
• You will engage in the complete software development lifecycle, which includes designing, implementing, deploying, testing, documenting, maintaining, and supporting Salesforce software applications and tools.
• You will be working with a diverse array of programming languages, engineering domains, tools, frameworks, and third-party integrations.
• Close collaboration with product management, UX design, and clinical operations will be essential in translating requirements into production-ready, highly maintainable, and scalable solutions.
• You will be part of our expanding engineering team that operates swiftly and delivers high-quality results.
• This impactful role will significantly influence the codebase, shape the technical landscape, make critical technical decisions, and establish the overall technical direction.
• Additionally, you will have the chance to mentor talented engineers.
• A minimum of 5 years of hands-on software development experience in professional environments utilizing agile methodologies, specifically with a strong focus on Salesforce CRM development.
• Proven experience leading a team in software architecture, design, code reviews, and quality assurance.
• Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into technical designs and features.
• Experience in defining, coding, maintaining, and deploying custom Salesforce applications utilizing both open-source and commercial tools.
• Knowledge of best practices in Salesforce software engineering, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, security, and build and test processes.
• A strong sense of ownership over work, combined with an ability to collaborate openly and transparently.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven experience within the Salesforce CRM ecosystem (e.g. Lightning, Apex, SOQL, Salesforce APIs, third-party integrations, etc.), with a strong emphasis on proper software engineering and adherence to the SDLC in Salesforce, minimizing reliance on third-party vendors.
• Focus on developing solutions using versioned source code in Git, avoiding Salesforce Flows whenever feasible.
• Expertise in SFDX and org-based development utilizing multiple sandboxes as development/deployment environments.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD and deployment pipelines as they relate to Salesforce development.
• Familiarity with package-based development within the Salesforce delivery model.
• Experience in developing Salesforce solutions that handle large volumes of contact and operational data.
• Knowledge of operational and data scaling challenges associated with Salesforce CRM.
• Proficient in establishing and developing all layers of automated testing in Salesforce development, including unit, integration, and system testing.
• Operates with a DevOps mentality, integrating observability, monitoring, alerting, and logging into the requirements for project completion.
• Familiarity with modern AI software development tools applicable throughout the SDLC.
• Experience with Service Cloud Voice, Omni-Channel, and Digital Engagement.
• Experience in AI applications or AI integrations is highly advantageous.
• Background in healthcare and/or startups is a significant plus.
