
Senior Sales Manager – Clinical Trials

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• Utilize an established network of contacts and decision-makers within the clinical trials sector to create new business opportunities.
• Advocate for US-based clinical trial services, encompassing Packaging, Labelling, Storage, and Distribution (PLSD), Comparator medications, and ancillary sourcing.
• Formulate and implement a strategic sales plan to gain a foothold in the US market, focusing on CROs, pharmaceutical, and biotech firms.
• Cultivate and sustain robust relationships with senior-level stakeholders (C-Suite) to influence commercial opportunities and decision-making processes.
• Confidently articulate services and value propositions, exhibiting professionalism in all client interactions.
• Act as the main point of contact for US clients, ensuring fluid communication across global teams.
• Oversee the complete sales cycle, from prospecting and lead generation to deal closure, while nurturing strong customer relationships.
• Lead client meetings, sales presentations, and quarterly business reviews, preparing agendas and synthesizing input from internal teams.
• Collaborate with sales colleagues and teams throughout Europe.
• Represent the company at trade events, engaging with potential leads.
• Employ data tools to identify and research prospective clients, facilitating targeted sales presentations.
• Ensure smooth transitions from quote award to project management, guaranteeing that client requirements are thoroughly understood and addressed.
• Accompany clients on onsite tours of the US depot, alongside the operations team, to showcase capabilities.
• Provide customer insights and feedback to inform US market strategy and annual planning decisions.
• Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives, sharing lessons learned to enhance global processes.
• A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is preferred, but career experience will be considered.
• At least 8 years of experience in business development and global customer relationship management, specifically in the clinical trials sector.
• A proven history of managing senior-level client relationships and driving revenue growth.
• Experience working with CROs, pharmaceutical, and biotech companies in an international context.
• Familiarity with clinical supply logistics is advantageous.
• A well-established network of decision-makers within the clinical trials sector, including CROs, pharmaceutical, and biotech companies.
• Strong presentation and sales skills, with the capability to simplify complex ideas for varied audiences.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities, with the confidence to engage with senior executives (C-Suite) and adapt to different cultural and organizational environments.
• Self-driven and determined, capable of working independently.
• High degree of professional gravitas, diplomacy, and negotiation skills to foster trust with clients and internal teams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and familiarity with sales tools such as Salesforce and LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing client needs.
• Willingness to travel up to 40% for client visits and internal meetings (both domestic and international).
