This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.
• Establish and nurture strategic relationships with influential customers across various regions, including architects, engineers, contractors, OEMs, dealers, and channel partners, to enhance long-term sales impact.
• Develop and implement the influencer strategy, focusing on existing priority firms while also identifying and engaging new firms and individuals to broaden influence.
• Act as the technical subject matter expert, offering guidance on codes, standards, and solutions to consulting engineers, end users, and sales teams.
• Recognize customer needs and market opportunities by utilizing customer insights, market trends, and competitor analysis to generate and shape demand.
• Oversee the flow and rigor of opportunities, ensuring that sales prospects are identified, reported, tracked in Salesforce, and allocated to the appropriate sales owners.
• Develop and maintain key influencer account strategies, assessing customer perception, team credibility, and the overall effectiveness of influence initiatives.
• Function as an industry thought leader and advocate for customers, sharing market insights internally, representing the company externally, and aligning influence activities with business objectives (sales plans, margin, market share).
• A university or college degree in engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• This role may necessitate licensing to comply with export controls or sanctions regulations.
• A significant amount of relevant work experience is essential. Experience in technical sales, application engineering, or project management is required.
• A university or college degree in the engineering field is preferred.
• At least 4 years of experience in technical sales or sales application engineering is desirable.
• Strong communication skills with leadership and peers on the Northern Region Sales Application Engineering/Upstream Influencing Team, as well as with local Power Generation Sales Representatives regarding key projects, relationships, and sales initiatives.
• Project and relationship management tracking will be documented in Salesforce.
• Technical aptitude to quickly become proficient in the products we are responsible for selling and supporting.
