Senior Ruby on Rails Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance applications and services.

• Write clean, reusable, and dependable code that facilitates highly available, high-volume transaction processing systems.

• Lead the design and execution of medium to large-scale software features and projects.

• Engage in the complete software development lifecycle, including sprint planning, daily standups, estimation, and retrospectives.

• Write unit tests and conduct code reviews to ensure software quality and maintainability.

• Design and create APIs and SDKs to support external developer integrations.

• Develop and maintain technical documentation, tutorials, integration guides, and code samples.

• Enhance performance, scalability, and usability across developer portals and applications.

• Collaborate with product, engineering, and cross-functional teams to deliver secure and scalable solutions.

• Integrate PCI DSS v4.0 compliance requirements into developer workflows, documentation, and integration practices.

• Identify opportunities for ongoing improvement in engineering processes, developer experience, and platform performance.

• Research and adopt new technologies, tools, and development practices as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with Ruby on Rails development.

• Extensive PostgreSQL experience, including database design, query optimization, indexing, and performance tuning.

• Experience in designing and developing RESTful APIs.

• Experience in building and maintaining SDKs and developer tools.

• Strong technical writing and documentation capabilities.

• Experience working within regulated environments such as PCI DSS or similar compliance frameworks.

• Solid understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and scalable application development.

• Experience in conducting code reviews and implementing automated testing practices.

• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects.

• Strong focus on security, performance, and developer experience.

• Willingness and ability to learn new technologies, programming languages, and AI-assisted development tools.
