Senior RPG Programmer, Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Oversee the analysis, design, development, and maintenance of IBM i applications.

• Design solutions tailored to client needs.

• Collaborate and consult with clients to address application-related issues.

• Analyze, design, code, and conduct testing for software applications.

• Maintain program and application integrity through various testing stages.

• Convert system architecture into comprehensive documentation for stakeholders.

• Lead a small technical team as necessary.

• Assist clients in modernizing outdated business applications.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 20 years of demonstrated experience with the IBM i (iSeries/AS/400) platform.

• Proficiency in various RPG forms, particularly RPGLE, including Free-form syntax and embedded SQL.

• Expert-level knowledge in DB2 application programming and database design.

• Extensive understanding of ILE concepts (Modules, Service Programs, Binding Directories).

• Experience with structured deployment and version control processes.

• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with different levels of client personnel.
