AIX Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Mexico.

📋 Description

• Design, create, and deploy intricate scripts, utilities, and applications on AIX platforms.

• Execute advanced AIX system administration duties, which include installation, setup, patching, performance optimization, and troubleshooting.

• Create and sustain automation scripts (such as Shell scripting, Python, Perl).

• Deliver expert-level assistance for intricate AIX system and application challenges.

• Rigorously follow federal government security policies, protocols, and compliance standards.

• Collaborate effectively within Agile/DevOps teams, engaging in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• At least 3 years of pertinent professional experience as an AIX System Administrator or Developer.

• Some familiarity with networking and SAN.

• A minimum of 3 years of practical experience as an AIX System Administrator or AIX Developer.

• Advanced skills in shell scripting (Korn Shell, Bash), along with proficiency in at least one other scripting/programming language (such as Python, Perl).

• Comprehensive understanding of AIX operating system internals.

• Demonstrated capability to identify and resolve complex system issues within AIX environments.

• Awareness of common security vulnerabilities and best practices for securing AIX systems in a federal context.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.

• Capacity to work collaboratively in a team-centric setting.

• Must be a U.S. Citizen.

• Capability to successfully obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance.
