
Senior Risk Engineering Consultant – Construction Casualty

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.
• Implement Zurich's risk engineering solutions for construction clientele to minimize losses and enhance risk management results.
• Utilize Zurich’s risk engineering tools and services to optimize customer risk and overall account management for clients purchasing Zurich Construction Insurance products, including Workers Compensation, General Liability, and Auto Liability.
• Provide exceptional consultative services, encompassing exposure identification, evaluation of risk control deficiencies, and formulation of actionable risk mitigation strategies.
• Foster and sustain positive relationships with customers and business partners, collaborating to establish suitable service plans.
• Collaborate with Construction Underwriting to assess and evaluate both current and potential customers.
• Discover opportunities to offer fee-based services that bolster customer risk mitigation and enhance performance improvement initiatives.
• Create and present advanced presentations and risk management training sessions for customers and internal business associates.
• Offer relevant risk improvement guidance, conduct loss investigations (including trend analysis and root cause identification), and implement risk enhancement programs.
• Support customers with corporate and project-specific safety plans, QA/QC programs, construction defect investigations when applicable, building envelope assessments, and moisture mitigation strategies.
• Actively engage and participate in local construction industry associations.
• Bachelor's Degree with 3 or more years of experience in the Risk Engineering field, OR a High School Diploma or Equivalent with 5 or more years of experience in Risk Engineering, OR completion of a Zurich Certified Apprentice program that includes an Associates degree and 3 or more years of experience in Risk Engineering.
• Experience in a collaborative team setting.
• Relevant expertise in risk assessment, aligned with LOB-specific competency standards.
• Advanced understanding of construction safety, operations, quality management, and relevant risks, exposures, and controls.
• Experience with large commercial construction projects, data center construction, and both regulated and non-regulated fleets.
• Strong technical writing and presentation abilities for both client-facing and internal deliverables.
• High proficiency in computer skills and Microsoft Office applications, including Copilot, as well as mobile IOS devices.
• Professional certifications such as CHST, ASP, CSP, CRIS, ARM.
• Relevant experience as a corporate safety professional, site safety leader, project manager, or superintendent with safety responsibilities.
• Proven leadership and active participation in professional, community, or public service initiatives.
