Senior Risk Control Consultant

📋 Description

• Perform on-site loss control evaluations for non-profit, educational, and religious organizations, focusing on property, liability, and operational risks.

• Evaluate factors such as life-safety systems, facility upkeep, security measures, playground safety, transportation hazards, and special event risks.

• Recognize potential dangers and formulate practical, mission-aligned risk management suggestions.

• Create clear and comprehensive reports detailing findings, risk assessments, and underwriting factors.

• Manage large accounts by formulating continuous service plans and performing regular claims trend analyses to pinpoint improvement opportunities and enhance overall risk management strategies.

• Assist organizations in formulating or enhancing policies regarding abuse prevention, child safeguarding, volunteer oversight, emergency readiness, crisis management, fleet and driver safety, and facility maintenance protocols.

• Collaborate with clients to facilitate the implementation of corrective measures and monitor their advancement.

• Partner with underwriting teams to aid in account selection, renewal evaluations, and risk enhancement strategies.

• Relay survey results, risk insights, and emerging trends to internal stakeholders.

• Create and present training sessions for staff, volunteers, and leadership of insured organizations on topics such as general safety awareness, fire prevention, abuse prevention, boundary training, and risk management in schools, camps, and religious facilities.

• Organize webinars, in-person workshops, and/or virtual training sessions as required.

• Aid in the development and upkeep of risk management materials, safety checklists, toolkits, and policy templates customized for the non-profit, educational, and religious sectors.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in risk management, safety, engineering, insurance, or a related discipline preferred; relevant experience will be taken into account.

• Over 5 years of experience in loss control, safety consulting, insurance risk evaluation, or facility operations.

• Strong knowledge of safety standards, risk assessment methodologies, and regulatory obligations.

• Exceptional communication, report writing, and interpersonal abilities.

• Capability to work autonomously, manage travel, and foster strong client relationships.

• A valid driver’s license is required.

• Experience with non-profits, educational institutions, camps, churches, or faith-based organizations.

• Professional designations such as ARM, CSP, ASP, CRM, or CFPS are preferred.

• Familiarity with life-safety regulations, OSHA standards, playground guidelines, and abuse prevention protocols.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• Professional judgment and decision-making skills.

• Ability to convey technical information in clear, understandable terms.

• Customer-service orientation with sensitivity to mission-driven environments.

• Project and time management skills.

• Ability to establish trust and influence change.
