Senior Consultant – Assistant Managing Director, Builder's Risk

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Managing the scheduling, inspection, support, and delivery of multiple projects across different disciplines within the insurance claims sector.

• Conduct thorough schedule analyses utilizing Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project, employing Critical Path Methodology (CPM) to evaluate project timelines.

• Assess construction delay claims and insurance-related incidents, determining causes, impacts, and opportunities for mitigation.

• Review and analyze claim costs linked to insured construction events, ensuring precision and defensibility.

• Scrutinize construction contracts to pinpoint terms and conditions pertinent to claims and dispute resolution.

• Create clear and detailed narrative reports and schedule evaluations, emphasizing potential impacts on timelines and supporting claim positions.

• Collaborate with legal teams, project stakeholders, and expert witnesses to assist in litigation, arbitration, and insurance recovery initiatives.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field from an accredited institution.

• At least 7 years of experience in construction or construction insurance consulting, with a strong emphasis on scheduling and claims.

• Demonstrated project management capabilities, including the ability to organize, assess, and manage intricate project documentation.

• Proficient in Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Excel.

• Strong grasp of schedule planning, project controls, and construction management principles.

• Exceptional written communication and analytical abilities, with the capacity to generate clear, detailed, and professional reports.

• Strong verbal communication skills and readiness to meet with clients as required.

• Willingness to travel occasionally for site inspections and client meetings.

• Experience in conducting schedule delay analysis and preparing forensic assessments (preferred).

• Understanding of construction insurance claims processes, including Builder’s Risk, Delay in Start-Up (DSU), and Business Interruption (BI) (preferred).
