This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Lead and conduct testing for IT General Controls (ITGC), IT Application Controls (ITAC), and automated controls as part of SOX compliance engagements.
• Execute audit procedures, including walkthroughs and report generation, for SOC 1, SOC 2 engagements, and SOX compliance, ensuring timely deliverables.
• Prepare and evaluate workpapers, testing documentation, narratives, flowcharts, and risk and control matrices (RCMs).
• Conduct testing and offer technical expertise to clients as well as engagement team members.
• Mentor, coach, and assess the work of Associates and interns, providing constructive feedback and guidance.
• Contribute to initiatives for practice development, including enhancements to methodology, training, and recruitment efforts.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Accounting, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in conducting IT audits, SOC examinations, SOX compliance, or risk assurance projects within public accounting or consulting.
• Preferred certifications include Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), and/or CPA license.
• Strong knowledge of SOC 1, SOC 2, and SOX frameworks, encompassing ITGCs, ITACs, automated controls, business process controls, and third-party risk factors.
• Experience with ERP systems, cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP), and cybersecurity concepts is preferred.
• Ability to independently manage multiple tasks and prioritize conflicting deadlines.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities to effectively engage with client management and team members.
