This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Conduct and occasionally lead behavioural risk audits and research projects.
• Design, implement, and analyze empirical research utilizing behavioural science, statistics, causal inference, and generative AI technologies.
• Offer insights and assurance regarding matters impacting customers, colleagues, and the bank.
• Create and execute empirical research and audit initiatives using behavioural science, quantitative analysis, and causal inference techniques.
• Simplify complex evidence into clear, concise, and persuasive insights and recommendations for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Encourage the adoption of scientific methodologies, empirical research techniques, and innovative analytical strategies throughout Internal Audit and the broader bank.
• Mentor colleagues and foster a collaborative, intellectually curious, and high-performing team environment.
• Ensure the maintenance of audit and research documentation.
• Participate in risk intelligence initiatives.
• Keep abreast of advancements in behavioural science, data science, and generative AI.
• A degree or equivalent experience in behavioural economics, economics, psychology, or another relevant empirical social science field.
• Extensive experience in designing, executing, and interpreting empirical research, including experimental, quasi-experimental, or other quantitative methodologies.
• Proficiency in statistics, causal inference, and the analysis of large or complex datasets.
• Capacity to develop and evaluate hypotheses.
• Strong programming skills for research and statistical analysis, such as proficiency in Python.
• Ability to draw sound conclusions from multiple data sources.
• Exceptional communication skills, capable of articulating complex analytical results clearly and convincingly to varied audiences.
• A collaborative attitude, a passion for mentoring others, curiosity, adaptability, and a commitment to learning and innovation.
• Experience with large-scale datasets, SQL, code quality practices, applications of behavioural science, financial services, auditing, or generative AI would be a plus.
