Senior Risk Analyst, Modeling & Risk Management

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Create and develop the governance framework for machine learning models, focusing on accuracy, bias, regulatory defensibility, and escalation protocols.

• Incorporate human judgment, which no model can replicate, into the operational processes of the function.

• Develop risk strategies that evolve as AI tools advance, including feedback loops, validation schedules, and human checkpoints.

• Define how risk intelligence informs business decisions by establishing protocols that link model outputs to actionable steps.

• Integrate safeguards from the outset—addressing bias, failure modes, and regulatory exposure—during the development phase rather than post-implementation.

• Serve as the human anchor in a function being restructured around AI, ensuring that accountability and strategic value scale alongside automation.

⛳️ Requirements

• 2–5 years of experience in credit risk, quantitative risk, or risk analytics within the financial services sector (banking, fintech, or lending).

• Proven track record in building or validating machine learning models in a credit or risk context, not merely utilizing them.

• Strong expertise in Python and SQL, along with hands-on experience in contemporary data warehousing environments.

• Demonstrated capability to convert complex quantitative analyses into clear recommendations for non-technical audiences.
