This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oklahoma.
• Initiate contact with policyholders on farms or ranches following a loss.
• Conduct field inspections, interpret maps and aerial imagery, measure fields and storage facilities, and gather production data.
• Evaluate damage or loss and oversee claims until resolution.
• Utilize judgment, common sense, adjusting guidelines, and policy provisions in relation to Multi-Peril Crop Insurance, Crop Hail, and Named Peril policies.
• Carry out investigative work to ascertain causes and percentages of loss.
• Apply independent judgment in managing claims.
• Refer unresolved issues to the Area Claims Supervisor.
• Clarify regulations and procedures to claimants, agents, and industry professionals.
• Articulate the company’s stance on emerging industry topics, including new specialty crops and expanded coverage programs.
• Enhance understanding of RMA rules, regulations, and ProAg procedures.
• A high school diploma is required.
• Experience in crop insurance claims or compliance, or any agricultural-related experience and background.
• Strong analytical skills with an emphasis on attention to detail.
• Proficient in basic computer and internet applications.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution abilities.
• A dependable means of transportation and a willingness to travel.
• Completion of the Claim Adjuster Proficiency Program (CAPP) certification and/or applicable licenses required by state agencies is preferred.
• Capacity to regularly work in the field on farms, climb grain bins, and traverse rough terrain over long distances.
• Willingness to travel up to 75%, occasionally beyond the designated territory.
