đź“‹ Description

• Take charge of release planning and coordination across various teams and services—establishing release timelines, cut-off dates, freeze periods, and go/no-go criteria.

• Design, maintain, and enhance CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps Pipelines and GitHub Actions, covering build, test, artifact, and deployment stages.

• Oversee branching, versioning, and release methodologies (such as trunk-based, release branches, and semantic versioning) across PHP, .NET, and React codebases.

• Set and uphold quality gates by integrating automated testing suites like Selenium and Playwright into pipelines, ensuring failures prevent promotion.

• Lead release readiness assessments—monitoring open tasks in Azure DevOps Boards, identifying risks, and ensuring necessary approvals are obtained.

• Keep detailed release notes, change logs, and a comprehensive audit trail for compliance and retrospective analysis.

• Collaborate with development, QA, security, and infrastructure teams to eliminate bottlenecks and enhance cycle time and deployment frequency.

• Establish and report on release metrics (deployment frequency, lead time, change failure rate, MTTR) to drive process enhancements.

• Advocate for release automation and foster a culture of repeatable, self-service deployments.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years in release management, DevOps, or build/release engineering, with at least 2 years in a senior or leading role.

• Practical experience with Azure DevOps (Pipelines, Repos, Boards, Artifacts) and GitHub Actions for CI/CD processes.

• In-depth understanding of branching and versioning strategies and their application across various languages and runtimes.

• Experience incorporating automated testing—Selenium and Playwright—into release pipelines as quality assurance checkpoints.

• Familiarity with the application stacks you'll be deploying: .NET, React, PHP.

• Strong knowledge of deployment patterns (blue/green, canary, rolling) and rollback strategies.
