This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Oversee commercial real estate loan relationships of various complexities.
• Cultivate new business opportunities and relationships that will generate revenue from corporations, sponsors, developers, and businesses.
• Drive deal flow directly from these clients and prospects while coordinating a team-oriented approach to relationship management.
• Accountable for the origination, negotiation, structuring, pricing, underwriting, and closing processes of loans.
• Manage a sophisticated commercial loan portfolio to ensure top-tier loan quality for the organization while minimizing risk.
• Oversee the continuous monitoring of portfolio quality and ensure adherence to laws, regulations, and guidelines.
• Mentor and support less experienced Relationship Managers as required.
• Bachelor’s degree (4 years or equivalent) in business, finance, or a related field.
• Over 10 years of experience as a Commercial Lending Relationship Manager and/or in commercial lending sales at a financial institution regulated by the OCC.
• Some experience in commercial credit may compensate for production experience.
• Proficient knowledge of commercial lending credit, underwriting, and loan structuring skills.
• Advanced analytical abilities to interpret financial and cash flow analyses.
• Thorough understanding of Institutional Investor Real Estate Asset Classes.
• Proven capability to analyze, structure, and recommend Bridge, Note on Note, Warehouse lines of Credit, and Subscription Lines of Credit.
• Demonstrated success in marketing the bank and achieving strategic growth with institutional developers by leveraging relationships with private equity firms, hedge funds, and major real estate development companies.
• Highly developed negotiation skills alongside excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Experience implementing a calling strategy to proactively engage with prospects and clients, fostering a personally developed network to source deals through various centers of influence.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.
• Exhibits a strong capacity to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders through clear communication, proactive collaboration, and leveraging cross-functional insights.
• Aligns relationship-building initiatives with enterprise objectives to enhance performance and achieve strategic outcomes.
• Establishes trusted client relationships, both internal and external, by identifying needs and providing customized solutions to enrich the overall client experience.
