Senior Reinsurance Actuarial Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Conduct pricing assessments for both new and renewal reinsurance operations to facilitate the UFG growth strategy.

• Collaborate with underwriters to generate timely and precise pricing analyses and recommendations.

• Uphold top-tier experience and exposure rating tools, including updates to parameters.

• Aid in premium forecasting as part of the quarterly reserving procedures.

• Work in conjunction with underwriting, CAT modeling, and claims teams.

• Propel profitable expansion in the Alternative Distribution sector by pricing the Assumed Re book of business.

• Cultivate extensive expertise and ownership within the Actuarial Department.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, or a related discipline.

• Actively pursuing a designation (ACAS/FCAS) from the Casualty Actuarial Society.

• Completion of 4 or more exams, including MAS-I or MAS-II.

• A minimum of 4 years of experience in an actuarial capacity.

• Previous experience in reinsurance pricing is preferred.

• Strong technical competencies.

• Familiarity with SQL, Python, and/or R is advantageous.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.

• Experience utilizing pricing tools at a major reinsurance company or brokerage is a plus.

• Knowledge of R, Python, SQL, and data visualization software is beneficial.
