This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assist Actuarial Finance in analyzing, forecasting, and recognizing VBC Membership, Revenue, and Medical Expenses.
• Evaluate trend drivers, utilization patterns, and potential risks.
• Create, develop, and sustain actuarial and financial models that support trend predictions, forecasting, VBC performance tracking, and risk arrangement assessments.
• Convert intricate modeling outcomes and data analyses into executive-level summaries, financial commentary, and performance narratives.
• Collaborate with actuarial, finance, clinical, and strategy teams.
• Lead or assist in creating data tools that categorize extensive datasets across financial, utilization, quality, and outcome aspects.
• Present findings to a diverse range of stakeholders, tailoring technical depth and context to meet audience requirements.
• Develop repeatable, automated analytical processes utilizing scripting, templated models, and AI-assisted tools where applicable.
• Identify opportunities for process enhancements through automation, standardization, or AI-assisted improvements while ensuring transparency, controls, and documentation.
• Establish credible performance narratives utilized in senior leadership decision-making.
• Decrease cycle time and manual effort for ongoing VBC performance analyses through process enhancement and automation.
• Carry out other job-related tasks as assigned.
• Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related quantitative discipline.
• Over 5 years of experience in an actuarial, analytical, or finance role within a collaborative environment.
• More than 5 years of experience in managed care, healthcare, or a related regulated sector.
• Proficient analytical and modeling skills using Excel or similar modeling tools.
• Strong data analysis capabilities using SQL, SAS, R, Python, or equivalent tools.
• Proven experience in automating recurring analytical tasks, models, or reporting processes.
• Capability to distill quantitative findings into clear written and verbal explanations for non-technical audiences.
• Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, evolving, and occasionally ambiguous environment.
• Sound professional judgment, intellectual curiosity, and willingness to question results, assumptions, and outputs.
• Excellent communication skills, including the confidence to highlight risks, limitations, and uncertainties.
• Demonstrated capability to apply AI responsibly, with a focus on data quality, bias, reproducibility, and professional standards.
• Comfort in preparing executive-level summaries that clearly differentiate modeled results, interpretation, and judgment.
• Experience in supporting Value-Based Care, ACOs, MA, MSSP, or other risk-based reimbursement models is preferred.
• Practical experience with AI-enabled tools for supporting analysis, interpretation, documentation, or narrative creation, with appropriate validation and oversight is preferred.
• ASA or higher actuarial credential is preferred.
