• Guide and enhance the skills of Actuarial Analysts and Consultants through coaching, training, mentoring, and direction.
• Supervise actuarial analyses and facilitate informed business decision-making.
• Ensure timely project completion with a commitment to high standards of quality.
• Cultivate and sustain business relationships with both internal and external clients during project development.
• Participate in the recruitment and interviewing process for potential employees.
• Conduct performance evaluations and suggest actions regarding salaries, promotions, and terminations.
• Implement disciplinary measures in collaboration with management.
• Acknowledge employee accomplishments and provide guidance on performance-related matters.
• Evaluate the work of Consultants and Analysts, ensuring successful project delivery.
• Manage and mentor Actuarial Consultants and/or Analysts.
• Oversee team time management and workload distribution, advising leadership on necessary trade-offs.
• Balance business outcomes with limited human resources.
• Offer constructive challenges to leadership.
• Present analyses, recommendations, and pricing strategies to stakeholders.
• Influence company culture by promoting a collaborative, inclusive, and psychologically safe workplace.
• Convey enterprise strategy and priorities to team members.
• Travel as required for role-related meetings.
• BA/BS in statistics, mathematics, actuarial science, or a related field, along with 5 years of post-bachelor experience in statistical and actuarial analysis within commercial insurance, OR a graduate degree in statistics, mathematics, actuarial science, or a related field and 3 years of experience in statistical and actuarial analysis for personal lines insurance.
• More than 3 years of experience in commercial insurance.
• ACAS (Associate in Casualty Actuarial Society).
• Strong leadership, decision-making, and motivational abilities.
• Comprehensive understanding of the market landscape.
• Capability to coach, mentor, assess, and provide training, direction, and constructive feedback to professional staff.
• Over 3 years of experience in a supervisory role managing teams.
• Experience in account-level rating and pricing analyses for complex or high-value commercial insurance opportunities.
• Proven experience as a client-facing partner, delivering analyses, recommendations, and pricing strategies to both internal and external stakeholders.
• Exceptional problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
• Demonstrated oral and written communication abilities, including experience with formal presentations.
• Established team leadership capabilities.
• In-depth knowledge of the Commercial Auto sector and the Commercial insurance marketplace.
• Proficiency in prioritizing tasks, managing time, and handling multiple projects simultaneously.
• Willingness to travel as necessary for enterprise, divisional/team, and other in-person meetings.
• Must have authorization to work indefinitely in the United States.
• Must not require immigration support or visa sponsorship.
