This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Provide leadership, guidance, and resource management for the Windows & Doors quality organization.
• Oversee quality assurance across 5–7 facilities in the South Region.
• Drive the implementation of cross-functional strategies and plans for the quality control roadmap of the production system.
• Cultivate a culture that aligns with the company’s mission, values, mindsets, and success model.
• Establish working practices that promote quality as a collective mindset.
• Lead through influence and collaborate with various functions and regions.
• Hold comprehensive quality accountability across design, manufacturing, and customer satisfaction.
• Track customer satisfaction and Cost of Poor Quality metrics while spearheading quality improvement initiatives.
• Assist in the development and execution of the Cornerstone Production System Quality Control Pillar.
• Utilize best practices to standardize processes and procedures across factories.
• Review, revise, and authorize process maps, FMEA, control plans, and testing documentation.
• Design and implement Critical to Quality (CTQ) stations and strategic annual initiatives.
• Identify and explore technologies, including mistake-proofing and digital, real-time quality assurance systems.
• Assess regulations to confirm that quality assurance protocols meet required standards.
• Lead or facilitate problem-solving sessions, identify root causes, and create permanent corrective actions.
• Align team training and development with anticipated business requirements.
• Educate, mentor, direct, and inform quality professionals.
• Resolve issues and make decisions based on calculated risks.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
• Master’s degree preferred; MBA is a plus.
• Six Sigma Black Belt certification preferred.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in a complex manufacturing environment.
• At least 5 years of experience in leading product quality.
• Demonstrated capability to drive quality, performance, and cultural change.
• Progressive experience in quality technical and leadership positions, ideally in manufacturing.
• Proficient in utilizing data and statistical concepts to analyze and resolve issues.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to train staff.
• In-depth knowledge of quality control standards and methodologies.
• Experience with third-party quality certifications, including ISO 9001/TS 16949, preferred.
• Comprehensive understanding of manufacturing and production processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective supervisory and leadership capabilities.
• Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
