This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Spearhead the formulation and implementation of MoneyGram’s strategy in India, focusing on revenue growth and market expansion.
• Discover and secure new business opportunities with financial institutions, fintech companies, banks, mobile wallets, telecommunications, new-age businesses, and retail partners.
• Cultivate strong relationships with essential external stakeholders, such as banks, payment processors, fintechs, and retail networks.
• Oversee and enhance existing principal agent partnerships to maximize business outcomes.
• Create innovative go-to-market strategies to boost adoption, enhance customer engagement, and strengthen MoneyGram’s competitive stance.
• Collaborate proactively with global teams and seek assistance for the region through effective management of internal stakeholders.
• Ensure that MoneyGram operates in full adherence to all local regulatory requirements and licensing obligations.
• Serve as the primary representative for MoneyGram in regulatory discussions and industry forums.
• Represent MoneyGram at industry events, conferences, and forums, establishing the company as a leader in remittances and payments.
• Act as the public face of MoneyGram in India, enhancing brand presence and trust within the market.
• Approach challenges with a startup mindset—identify gaps, take ownership, and drive transformative change within the business.
• Innovate and execute new ideas to address complex issues with agility and a hands-on approach.
• Minimum Requirement: An MBA degree in a related field is preferred or equivalent professional experience.
• Over 10 years of experience in remittances, payments, or fintech, with a solid record in sales, business development, and market growth.
• Experience in distribution, network, agency, and channel management will be an added advantage.
• Extensive knowledge of the Indian remittance and payments landscape, including banks, wallets, MTOs, fintechs, stables, and retail networks.
• Established relationships with key industry players, including financial institutions, regulators, and partners.
• Proven capability to lead regulatory engagement and maintain compliance with local financial authorities.
• Experience in representing a company at high-profile industry events and public forums.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional matrix organization.
• Demonstrated expertise in independent planning, managing, and executing sales strategies.
