This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Execute and assess journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations to guarantee accuracy and completeness.
• Conduct and evaluate intercompany reconciliations across various entities; investigate and promptly resolve discrepancies.
• Record and reconcile commission accruals and payments to ensure precise expense recognition and adherence to revenue recognition policies.
• Assist in the month-end closing process for designated entities, meeting corporate deadlines and regional schedules.
• Prepare and analyze monthly analytical flux and variance analyses on essential accounts to clarify period-over-period changes.
• Ensure all financial information is accurately recorded, documented, and supported in accordance with GAAP and company policy.
• Aid in the consolidation and regional reporting packages under the guidance of the RAM and RFC.
• Utilize a strong understanding of U.S. GAAP to ensure appropriate accounting treatment of transactions.
• Support the execution of corporate accounting policies and internal controls across all entities.
• Engage in audit preparation and support, ensuring all requested documentation is thorough and accurate.
• Assist in maintaining compliance with sales and use tax requirements and related filings.
• Remain updated on accounting standards and contribute to discussions regarding policy application and enhancements.
• Identify and propose process improvements or automation opportunities to enhance efficiency and accuracy in accounting operations.
• Support the use of ERP systems (Oracle or similar) by upholding data integrity and identifying potential configuration enhancements.
• Aid in the documentation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for recurring accounting processes.
• Collaborate with the RAM and Corporate Systems teams during ERP implementations, integrations, and onboarding of new entities.
• Work closely with the FP&A team to ensure data integrity and provide insights for management reporting and analysis.
• Partner with the regional finance accounting team’s transactional members (AR, AP, and Collections) to ensure accounting entries and reconciliations accurately reflect financial activities and align with regional policies.
• Collaborate with the Sales team to confirm commission-related transactions, contract activities, and revenue recognition inputs as applicable.
• Partner with Staff Accountants to review supporting schedules and reconciliations for accuracy and consistency.
• Communicate effectively with Corporate Accounting regarding shared policies, system configurations, and intercompany matters.
• Coordinate with the RFM on open jobs review, project closeouts, and cash flow management activities.
• Actively seek opportunities to expand knowledge in multi-entity consolidations, process improvements, and financial analysis.
• Support finance transformation initiatives led by the RAM and RFC.
• Provide mentorship and GAAP guidance to Staff Accountants as required.
• 3–6 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a multi-entity, high-growth, or complex organization.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required; CPA or CPA eligibility is a plus.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and internal control principles.
• Proven success in month-end closing, balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, and variance analysis.
• Experience with ERP systems (Oracle, NetSuite, or similar) and intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and time management skills; ability to meet tight deadlines and handle competing priorities.
