Senior Recruiter – Compliance

📋 Description

• Gain a comprehensive understanding of Mercury’s values, brand identity, products, and business model.

• Collaborate closely with hiring managers and interviewers to create interview panels, actively network within the industry, source qualified candidates aligned with business needs, and effectively close candidates by presenting Mercury as a forward-thinking fintech leader in the Risk and Compliance domain.

• Define success metrics for a newly established recruiting team, maintaining high cultural and hiring standards to ensure the attraction and retention of top-tier Risk and Compliance talent.

• Establish yourself as a genuine strategic partner to the GRC teams by staying informed on fintech and banking industry trends, understanding the talent market, and cultivating a thorough knowledge of the U.S. banking and financial regulatory landscape.

• Champion the development of inclusive and diverse teams at all levels and across various Risk and Compliance skill sets, guiding hiring teams towards unbiased hiring practices.

• Identify and engage with top talent through both passive and active methods, providing an outstanding candidate experience that reflects Mercury’s culture and values.

• Take the lead on 0 to 1 recruiting initiatives as Mercury grows its business and product offerings, necessitating the recruitment of Risk and Compliance professionals with specialized skill sets and regulatory expertise.

• Be adept at utilizing data to derive actionable insights, business recommendations, performance enhancements, and improvements to the recruiting process.


⛳️ Requirements

• Possess over 5 years of full-cycle recruiting experience, with a total of at least 7 years in a talent, people, or HR-equivalent role.

• Have extensive experience in recruiting for specialized business roles ranging from mid-level individual contributors to senior leadership, particularly within Risk, Compliance, Audit, or Legal teams.

• Demonstrate experience in influencing and collaborating with senior and executive-level stakeholders and hiring managers, serving as a trusted hiring partner and strategic advisor to their teams.

• Exhibit strong sourcing and networking abilities, capable of proactively engaging suitable talent for long-term hiring needs and/or when managing confidential searches.

• Take pleasure in building diverse, inclusive, and high-performing teams, leading with empathy, kindness, and care in your work.

• Enjoy tackling creative problem-solving challenges while navigating difficult constraints, effectively prioritizing tasks in alignment with business demands, and streamlining workflows through automation and process improvements.

• Possess strong written and verbal communication skills that reflect clarity and precision.

• Have a keen sense of urgency and ownership over your responsibilities, willing to support hiring efforts in other areas of the business as required.

• Familiarity with recruiting tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter, Greenhouse, Gem, Ashby, Metaview, or similar platforms.
