Senior Real Estate Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Oversee and mentor staff accountants by establishing deadlines, removing obstacles, and offering comprehensive review feedback.

• Examine financial statements prepared by associates using QuickBooks Online and various accounting platforms.

• Generate, assess, and present high-quality, timely financial statements that include dashboards, KPIs, and forecasts to clients while fostering and sustaining strong client relationships.

• Act as a trusted advisor, regularly consulting with clients via Zoom, phone, and email, and addressing concerns as they arise.

• Offer additional services to clients, such as conducting weekly or monthly oversight calls and delivering ad hoc reporting and analysis.

• Direct client onboarding and guarantee a seamless transition into our operational processes.

• At the end of the year, ensure a smooth and organized hand-off of client books to our tax team for tax return preparation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting from an accredited institution.

• A minimum of 2-3 years of senior-level review experience, ideally with real estate and small business clients.

• At least 1-2 years of experience collaborating with a team of staff accountants to produce quality outputs.

• Extensive proficiency with QuickBooks Online, Yardi, and other property management software.

• Familiarity with entity types, structuring, and transactions.

• High level of technical proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Google Suite.

• A proven history of effectively working with clients, managing client relationships, and ensuring that engagement objectives are met accurately and punctually.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with excellent interpersonal abilities.

• Public accounting experience is preferred.

• CPA is not required, but compensation will be based on credentials and experience.
