This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Korea.
• Accountable for driving strategic sales expansion throughout South Korea.
• Cultivate high-value opportunities in both commercial and government sectors.
• Assist clients in comprehending how quantum computing can enhance next-generation computing, AI, HPC, and secure infrastructure requirements.
• Influence IonQ’s market positioning within South Korea.
• Establish executive relationships and advance complex, technically sophisticated opportunities.
• Identify, develop, and advance a strong pipeline of strategic commercial, government, and research-driven opportunities.
• Take ownership of the complete sales lifecycle, which includes opportunity qualification, technical discovery, proposal formulation, RFPs/tenders, negotiation, and contract finalization.
• Build and maintain executive relationships with senior stakeholders across technology, infrastructure, research, government, and national laboratory settings.
• Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and Customer Success teams to ensure alignment between customer needs and IonQ’s platform offerings across quantum hardware, software, networking, and applications.
• Over 10 years of experience in enterprise sales, strategic account management, or business development within intricate technology markets.
• Demonstrated success in closing multi-million-dollar deals, preferably involving infrastructure, hardware, advanced technology, cloud, AI, HPC, government, or research-oriented clients.
• Strong capability to forge executive relationships, navigate complex sales cycles, and influence both technical and commercial stakeholders.
• Proficient in both Korean and English, with robust cultural understanding and experience in selling to the South Korean enterprise, government, or research sectors.
• Familiar with quantum computing, AI infrastructure, HPC environments, quantum networking, post-quantum cryptography, or quantum-safe communications.
• Experience engaging with senior technical and commercial stakeholders across government, research, cloud, infrastructure, or advanced technology sectors.
• A STEM background in Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
• Previous experience in assisting customers to understand and adopt new computing architectures, advanced infrastructure platforms, or other highly technical emerging technologies.
