Senior Quantity Surveyor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Analyze architectural and construction drawings

• Utilize electronic take-off software to measure floor areas

• Recognize flooring types and their installation requirements

• Compute material quantities accurately

• Determine wastage allowances

• Create Bills of Quantities

• Examine specifications and project documentation

• Identify scope exclusions and any inconsistencies

• Support the preparation of tender submissions

• Generate variation pricing as necessary

• Assess subcontractor pricing when applicable

• Deliver precise flooring estimates

• Prepare comprehensive cost breakdowns

• Calculate labor requirements

• Assess adhesive, accessories, and floor preparation needs

• Review tender documentation thoroughly

• Assist in the pricing of commercial construction projects

• Update estimates as drawings are revised

• Adhere to tender deadlines

• Maintain estimating databases effectively

• Review and comprehend:

• Architectural plans

• Reflected ceiling plans (if applicable)

• Floor finish plans

• Specifications

• Door schedules

• Finish schedules

• Tender documents

• Scope of Works

• Site instructions

• Addenda

• Report daily to the Senior Estimator

• Draft handover notes for completed tasks

• Identify risks or ambiguous documentation

• Communicate any assumptions made during pricing

• Participate in Microsoft Teams meetings as needed

• Keep organized records of completed work

• Familiarity with some or all of the following is preferred:

• Measure

• Microsoft Excel (Advanced)

• Microsoft Word

• Microsoft Teams

• Adobe Acrobat

• HubSpot (desirable)

• Excellent skills in quantity surveying

• Strong commercial estimating experience

• Exceptional attention to detail

• High proficiency in mathematical ability

• Capability to interpret architectural drawings

• Strong analytical abilities

• Excellent command of written English

• Strong organizational skills

• Ability to prioritize workload effectively

• Capacity to meet strict deadlines

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience as an Estimator or Quantity Surveyor

• Experience in commercial construction estimating

• Preferred experience measuring flooring packages

• Experience in pricing commercial projects

• Experience in remote work settings

• Strong grasp of construction terminology

• Ability to work independently with minimal oversight

• Preferred experience in one or more of the following sectors is highly desirable:

• Healthcare
