This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.
• Take ownership and responsibility for regional quality performance, compliance risks, and operational readiness across all LATAM locations.
• Act as the main regional point of accountability for significant quality events, regulatory engagements, and quality risks that impact the business.
• Exercise the necessary quality authority, which includes the ability to halt production, put products on hold, or postpone releases when quality or compliance risks arise.
• Lead the regional response to critical quality incidents, such as recalls, regulatory enforcement actions, and risks to supply continuity.
• Spearhead the implementation of Global Quality initiatives, standards, and transformation programs throughout LATAM.
• Contribute to the development of Global Quality strategy by providing regional insights, identifying risks, and highlighting improvement opportunities from LATAM operations.
• Ensure that regional quality practices align with global quality standards and the organization's objectives.
• Foster a Quality culture that emphasizes compliance, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
• Offer leadership and support to regional quality teams and site quality leaders.
• In-depth understanding of quality systems, compliance standards, and audit processes.
• Experience in highly regulated, multi-country LATAM settings.
• Proven experience leading through influence in matrixed organizations.
• Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management abilities.
• Background in animal health, diagnostics, food safety, pharmaceuticals, biotech, or manufacturing sectors.
• Bachelor’s degree in Quality, Engineering, Biology, Microbiology, Animal Science, Food Science, Life Sciences, or a related discipline.
• Over 10 years of progressive experience in quality assurance, regulatory compliance, or manufacturing settings.
• More than 5 years of leadership or people management experience.
• Demonstrated experience collaborating with major LATAM regulatory agencies (e.g., MAPA, ANVISA, SENASICA, COFEPRIS, SENASA, SAG, ICA, INVIMA) and global regulatory frameworks such as the FDA.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 17025, and GMPs; Lean Six Sigma or ASQ certification is preferred.
• Proficiency in English, Spanish, and Portuguese is required.
