Senior Quality Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico, +4 more countries.

📋 Description

• We are expanding and seeking a skilled Quality Engineer to join our Agile software development team, focusing on enhancing our core payment processing platform and products within the Payments sector.

• As a member of a compact team, you will be tasked with executing and overseeing manual test cases, making an immediate and significant contribution to our rapidly growing business as we aim for the next phase of growth.

• The main responsibility of the Quality Engineer is to decompose business requirements into test cases and conduct these tests as required. The company operates multiple Systems Under Test, and as products may evolve swiftly, the ability to adapt is crucial.

⛳️ Requirements

• Analysis of requirements, including traceability and test case development.

• Identification of additional test coverage that is not outlined in the requirements or acceptance criteria.

• Proven experience in test planning and documentation.

• Management and categorization of test cases.

• Prioritization of test cases based on business risks.

• Excellent written communication skills.

• In-depth knowledge of Quality fundamentals and best practices.

• Experience in testing high-availability systems.

• Understanding of application security principles.

• Ability to coordinate testing activities between teams to achieve larger business objectives.

• Extensive experience in defect reporting, including all essential elements and repeatability.

• Analysis of business requirements and development of test cases.

• Creation of test plans and suites for various products and initiatives.

• Strong grasp of Quality fundamentals and best practices.

• Mentorship on Quality principles for development teams.

• Conducting manual testing of products and solutions.

• Assessing product readiness for production environments.

• Documenting defects along with the steps to reproduce them.

• Collaborating with developers to ensure prompt resolution of defects.

• Providing metrics related to Quality.

• Working with SDETs and Architects to prioritize test cases for automation.
