This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Zealand.
• Take ownership of and carry out manual testing tasks throughout the development lifecycle, ensuring that new features are thoroughly validated as part of the agile methodology.
• Work in close collaboration with engineers and product managers to establish acceptance criteria, testing strategies, and edge cases early in the development process.
• Assist in the creation and maintenance of automated tests for both API and UI layers, contributing to increased coverage and reduced regression risks.
• Enhance and support test environments, frameworks, and tools to boost testing efficiency and reliability.
• Leverage AI-assisted engineering tools, coding agents, and test generation methods to speed up test creation, enhance coverage, debug failures, and facilitate quicker feedback loops.
• Critically assess AI-generated or AI-assisted test artifacts, ensuring that tests validate business outcomes, system behaviors, edge cases, and failure modes instead of merely addressing basic technical responses.
• Track and communicate test results, escalate risks, and advocate for ongoing improvements in quality practices and delivery speed.
• Over 3 years of experience in testing enterprise-grade, scalable, and distributed applications, products, and services.
• Familiarity with automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Pytest, Selenium, Playwright, etc.) is advantageous, though the specific technologies are less critical than your ability to apply the appropriate approach to challenges.
• Experience with version control systems such as GitHub or GitLab.
• Knowledge of AI-assisted development tools, coding agents, or AI-driven test automation is a plus.
• Experience testing products that integrate large language models, AI/ML technologies, agentic workflows, recommendation systems, automation, or decision-support functionalities is a bonus.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving abilities, with a quick aptitude for learning new tools and technologies.
• Capability to think critically about AI-assisted outputs, including identifying gaps, validating assumptions, testing edge cases, and ensuring accurate verification of business outcomes.
• Experience working in an Agile environment.
• A solid understanding of CI/CD and DevOps principles is preferred.
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is desirable.
• Comprehensive health and wellness benefits.
• Opportunities for professional development and career advancement.
• Flexible work schedules and remote work options.
• Collaborative and inclusive work environment.
