Senior Quality Automation Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Create, develop, and sustain scalable automated testing frameworks for web-based applications.

• Construct and implement automated test suites across UI, API, and database layers.

• Incorporate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for swift and dependable feedback.

• Evaluate, troubleshoot, and resolve automation challenges, including flaky tests and environmental inconsistencies.

• Work alongside software engineers, product teams, and stakeholders to integrate quality throughout the development lifecycle.

• Establish and execute automation strategies based on risk, business impact, and system complexity.

• Continuously enhance testing frameworks, tools, and processes to boost efficiency and coverage.

• Ensure release readiness by meeting appropriate test coverage and quality standards.

• Offer technical guidance and mentorship to team members regarding automation best practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

• 7 years of hands-on experience with both manual and automated testing methods.

• Strong background in QA automation for web applications with practical technical expertise.

• Advanced proficiency in Selenium WebDriver or similar browser automation tools.

• Experience in designing or enhancing automation frameworks focusing on scalability and maintainability.

• Comprehensive understanding of API testing and database validation as part of an automation strategy.

• Practical experience in integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.

• Strong debugging and problem-solving abilities aimed at improving automation reliability.

• Experience in Agile environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

• Capability to influence quality practices and contribute to technical decision-making.

• Excellent communication skills and keen attention to detail.

• Ability to work remotely within Canada with availability that overlaps Eastern Time hours.
