Senior Quality Assurance Engineer – Automated Testing

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Automated Testing: Create, develop, and implement automated test scripts for software utilizing industry-standard tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, TestNG, Junit, JMeter, Python).

• Test Strategy: Establish and execute automated testing strategies and frameworks to improve testing efficiency and coverage.

• Integration: Work collaboratively with development teams to incorporate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline. Keep track of progress and issues in Jira and communicate through Microsoft Teams.

• Performance Testing: Carry out performance and load testing to evaluate system scalability and reliability.

• Troubleshooting: Detect, analyze, and resolve complex issues in both automated and manual testing settings.

• Mentorship: Offer guidance and mentorship to junior QA engineers, promoting a culture of quality and continuous improvement.

• Documentation: Keep comprehensive documentation of test cases, test scripts, and testing processes in Jira. Use Excel to analyze and report on testing metrics, employing advanced functions as necessary.

• Data Analysis: Leverage SQL Server Management Studio for backend data validation and to comprehend data relationships.

• Feedback: Deliver constructive feedback to stakeholders, including clients, project managers, and developers, regarding software quality and areas needing improvement.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience: Over 5 years of experience in software testing, with a strong emphasis on automated testing of backend systems.

• Skills: Expertise in programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, C#) and test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, RestAssured, TestNG, JMeter).

• Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of the SDLC, testing methodologies, and best practices in automated testing.

• Tools: Proficient with Jira for documentation and issue tracking, Microsoft Teams for collaboration, Excel for reporting (including advanced functions), and SQL Server Management Studio for backend data validation.

• Data Manipulation: Strong capability to comprehend data relationships and perform effective data manipulation using advanced spreadsheet functions.

• Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with the capacity to troubleshoot complex issues.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.

• Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and their testing-related services.

• Knowledge of manual testing.

• ISTQB certification.
