Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Develop, implement, and uphold automated test cases for RESTful web services.

• Create and sustain functional UI-based automation tests for the product's front-end and user workflows.

• Recognize issues affecting CI/CD release readiness and support a shift-left QA approach.

• Design and establish new testing frameworks while enhancing existing automation systems.

• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to delineate test coverage, quality gates, and criteria for release readiness.

• Compose, execute, and maintain manual test plans and cases for non-automated features and exploratory testing.

• Integrate automated tests within CI/CD pipelines.

• Lead root cause analysis for defects and propose enhancements.

• Mentor the QA team and champion quality engineering best practices across scrum teams.

• Offer periodic off-business-hours on-call support to operations personnel.

• Ensure the quality and dependability of Hypori's cybersecurity SaaS virtual workspace platform.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in software quality assurance/test engineering.

• More than 5 years of experience with an API-based test automation framework like REST Assured, Playwright, or similar.

• Proven capabilities in test case planning, defect triage, and work prioritization.

• Extensive experience in designing and executing functional, manual test cases for a SaaS product.

• Experience in building and maintaining service-layer and UI-based test automation frameworks.

• Proficiency in Java, C#, Python, Go, or similar programming languages is required; Java is preferred.

• Experience with Appium-based test automation is advantageous.

• Self-motivated and effective at collaborating with several small engineering teams.

• Customer-centric approach to delivering market-ready products.

• Willingness to provide periodic off-business-hours on-call support.

• Must be a U.S. citizen or a lawful permanent resident (Green Card holder).

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Highly driven self-starter with strong integrity, sense of urgency, and results-oriented mindset.

• Capable of managing multiple concurrent and complex software projects.

• Able to interpret ambiguous requirements and develop a robust solution.
